MCL Construction has completed several renovation projects for Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska. These projects provide much needed updating to a building that was beginning to show its age and also provides students the necessary tools to complete in the competitive healthcare field.
The library renovation project was a complete overhaul of the existing space. The redesign created better work flow and accessibility for students. Unique construction features include collaborative study stations and computer lab and a decorative wood and glass entry way.
MCL Construction's vast experience in healthcare construction was of great assistance for the creation and construction of the Clarkson College simulated surgery suite. Existing classroom space was demolished and renovated to provide a real-world learning experience for surgical situations and patient care.
The fifth floor renovation project included the removal of cubicle office space and the construction of private offices to allow college counselors to have private one-on-one interactions with students.
All these projects were completed while the building was operational for students and staff. A project-specific logistics plan was created to minimize the effects of construction activities on the end users of the building.
