MCL Construction put in new heating and air conditioning in the 125 year old Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart.
The new HVAC consisted of two rooftop units, two energy recovery units, two high-efficient boilers, one cooling tower and 45 heat pumps. MCL cut approximately 250 openings through a mixture of load bearing brick, clay tile and wood stud framed walls, and subsequently installed the appropriate headers and lintels to allow for new duct work. Upgrades to electrical service, lighting, and the fire sprinkler system provided coverage to the entire building. The demolished areas were built back to meet strict historical landmark regulations.
