Executive Assistant
​Events Coordinator

GENERAL SUMMARY 
Full-time position for MCL Construction, a 34+ year general contractor working primarily in commercial construction and based in Omaha, NE. The Executive Assistant/Events Coordinator provides direct administrative support to two MCL senior executives. In addition, they work on MCL events throughout the year, in a leadership role for some events and in a support role for other events. The incumbent will display outstanding professionalism, organizational skills, creativity, customer service, and a can-do attitude in their dealings with MCL employees, partners, customers, and events. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Executive Assistant for two MCL Senior Executives
  • Provide support to two MCL Senior Executives, facilitating their ability to effectively lead the company.
  • With a can-do attitude and hands-on approach, effectively manage several key elements including but not limited to
  • Appointments and calendar management, including appointment conflict resolution
  • Manage the executive’s office visitors and meetings
  • Administration related to the MCL strategic planning process
  • Communications – compose and/or edit and distribute letters, memos, reports, emails, and other professional correspondence 
  • Phone call management – incoming, outgoing, conference calls, Teams meetings
  • Misc. communications – thank-you’ s, congratulations, condolences, social media, personal, misc. other
  • Other duties as assigned.
Event Planning
  • Lead and/or participate in planning and execution of company events, including but not limited to holiday parties, quarterly and annual meetings, client events, and MCL sponsored community events/fundraisers.
  • End-to-end management of assigned periodic events, delivering events creatively, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage Holiday cards and gifts for clients and friends of MCL.
  • Significant time and involvement on Scare Away Cancer events, an MCL-sponsored 501(c)(3) organization supporting patients, families, and programs dealing with cancer. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Demonstrated years of experience working in a corporate environment in support of executive-level managers. 
  • Exceptional support, administrative, organizational, and general business skills.
  • A successful history of creatively organizing and managing a variety of company events and activities
  • Friendly and engaging personality; enjoys meeting and interacting with all types of people.
  • Skilled at building and sustaining relationships with a variety of people including: all levels of MCL employees; external partners, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Thorough, accurate, and timely in all aspects of assigned duties
  • Ability to set priorities and multitask in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.
  • Ability to successfully lead teams towards a common goal, as well as participate as a member of a team.
  • Actively seeking to improve company processes and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, phone)
  • Willingness and desire to take on additional duties as the Company grows 
  • Proficient in Microsoft environment (Word, Outlook, Excel), experience with InDesign and Bluebeam is a plus.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information is required.
  • Experience in a construction company environment is a plus.
