Green Plains Energy
MCL Construction has completed two projects for Green Plains Renewable
Energy; both projects are a result of the company's rapid growth in the energy market.
The first project was the new corporate headquarters located at 450 Regency Parkway in Omaha, Nebraska. A fast-track schedule was implemented on this 26,000 square foot build-out to accommodate the owner's need to move in as early as possible. This was achieved by collaborating with the design team and owner to maximize productivity and efficiency in the building process. The high-end finishes match the identity of Green Plains: all-glass entry doors, zebra wood operable walls, sloped acoustical ceilings, and patterned carpet. The space is divided into two areas, business operations and human resources, and a wide-open trading floor with a high-tech video wall.
The original space was constructed with expansion in mind. MCL Construction completed a 6,500 square foot expansion for Green Plains that provides more room for business services as well as employee well-being. The centerpiece of this expansion project is a custom wood staircase that connects the two floors Green Plains occupies. The most recent addition includes open office space, individual offices, conference rooms, and an employee workout facility.
