MCL Construction completed the first Endovascular/Hybrid Operating Room in the state of Nebraska at the Nebraska Heart Institute and Heart Hospital in Lincoln.
The new hybrid operating room allows for a less invasive approach to cardiac and vascular surgery procedures in the sterile operating environment. The ability to handle and minimize high-risk situations with the most efficient treatments available to save lives is optimized in the hybrid room setting. Furthermore, the hybrid operating room has emerged as a new and effective way to integrate advanced imaging technologies in surgical environments to increase efficiencies and utilization of resources while improving patient safety, experience, and outcome.
The 3,900 square foot addition also houses a control room, mechanical room, and additional space for a future operating room.
The Nebraska Heart Hospital's cardiac program has been named the number one program in Nebraska for Overall Cardiac Services, having received this recognition for eight years in a row.
