MCL Construction built the newest surgery center at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska: the Lauritzen Outpatient Center and Fritch Surgery Center.
The state-of-the-art facility provides one-stop, patient-centered care. Level One features rooms designed for orthopedics, physical and occupational therapy, radiology, and an outpatient pharmacy. Level Two is for Pre/Post-Op and outpatient surgery featuring 10 operating rooms. Level Three consists of clinics including Ear, Nose, and Throat, and Audiology. Also on level three are Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Facial Prosthetics, and Surgery-Urology. Level Four is designed for Orthopedics, Research, and Telemedicine. Also included in the project was a new parking garage.
MCL Construction was the Construction Manager and General Contractor for the project. It was completed in a 26-month time-frame where innovation and technology assisted in expediting the construction timeline. This technology included 3D high definition laser scanning, BIM 360 Glue, and innovation stations in the field.
