"The feedback has been phenomenal," said Dr. Dan Schinzel, Director of Athletics at Creighton Prep. "The project allows Prep to serve our baseball athletes, coaches, and fans better. It also gives us additional space for PE classes, intramurals, and football practices."
The field features a state-of-the-art drainage system that allows the field to take on 16 inches of rain per hour.
"Creighton Prep is now one of two schools in the state of Nebraska to have a fully turfed baseball complex," said Dr. Schinzel. "With the top loading stands and building backdrop, this is by far the best baseball complex in the state. Many people have told me how stunning the field looks from 72nd Street."
The baseball field is one of the several recent projects MCL Construction completed at the all-boys Jesuit High School. The chapel renovation provides a simple yet stunning place to worship for students, staff, and visitors. The sanctuary features marble walls, cloud ceiling panels, new pews, and the white interior accentuates the stained glass windows that were already in place.
Additionally, MCL Construction led the installation of new monument signs at the school. The large sign at the corner of 72nd Street and Western Avenue is constructed of masonry and precast concrete. It features a large steel cross and the Creighton Prep seal.
MCL Construction, a Construction Manager and General Contractor in Omaha, Nebraska, announce the promotion of Tyler Dunklau to Director of Project Operations and Jason Jansen to Director of Field Operations.
Dunklau started with MCL Construction in 2007 as a Project Engineer. He transitioned into a Project Manager in 2011 and directly manages large-scale projects for MCL Construction.
"I'm looking forward to this new challenge," said Dunklau, who holds a Construction Management degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. "The growth of MCL Construction over the last five years has been impressive. I have learned a lot, and I look forward to sharing this knowledge in a leadership role."
Dunklau will focus on providing improved client services, streamlining project management processes, and team training.
Jansen started with MCL Construction as a Project Superintendent in 2012. Jason has 20 years of building experience and is ready to use that knowledge to lead the MCL Construction team.
"We have some of the best superintendents in the Midwest," said Janson. "Combine excellent supervision with MCL Construction's talented team of carpenters and self-perform staff and we find ourselves positioned for maximizing building efficiencies for our clients."
Jansen is a Wayne State College graduate with a B.S. in Industrial Technology. His new leadership role allows him to work one-on-one with teams to ensure client satisfaction. He will work closely with the MCL Construction innovation team to bring new technologies to the field that improve the building process and he will establish guidelines for field operations and support functions.
Founded in 1987, MCL Construction is one of the area's largest locally-owned and operated construction firms. It specializes in several markets emphasizing a collaborative approach to building driving efficiency in cost, schedule, and communication.
