"Interning at MCL played a huge role in me receiving this honor. It's extremely beneficial to be able to learn in an academic setting, then apply that knowledge immediately in a real-world setting," said Hansen.
Hansen's work ethic and eagerness to learn in the field has not gone unnoticed by his coworkers at The Cloisters On The Platte project.
"He is eager to learn and works hard to find the answers to issues as they arise. Wyatt has taken an active approach to being onsite every day to observe construction techniques that are being utilized on the project. He is a team player and is always willing to help in any way he can," commented Project Manager Mike Heser.
Hansen is an example of how hard work and determination pay off. A native of Wichita, Kansas, Hansen is a non-traditional student balancing work, school, and a family that consists of his wife and two children.
"Personally, this is a huge accomplishment for me. Professionally, I believe this award speaks volumes to my ambition to excel,” Hansen added.
Hansen is working on The Cloisters on the Platte project working specifically in the chapel and the parking garage where he continues to learn from the people around him.
"MCL is truly a team. The level of knowledge of the MCL employees I work with on a daily basis never ceases to amaze me. I am excited to continue my career at such a great company," said Hansen.
And we are equally excited to have him.
