MCL Construction in Omaha, Nebraska, gets the chance to inspire future builders, designers, and engineers. A group of 7th grade Loyola Scholars recently toured the Creighton University College of Dentistry project site. The scholars were instructed on safety, witnessed steel erection, received a demonstration of 3D high definition scanning, and walked each floor to see what each trade partner was building. Loyola Scholars is a year-round, three-year academic and leadership achievement program serving middle school sixth-to-eighth-grade males in the Omaha metro area who are academically talented, have leadership potential, and whose households have significant financial need. |
