MCL Construction was trusted to renovate the historic Nottingham Apartments while maintaining the integrity of the original design. The once abandoned complex, located in the historical midtown Gifford Park neighborhood, now has 31 renovated units and a restored brick exterior.
To keep its "historical" status, only minor interior modifications could be made: plaster repair, paint, and refinishing of the original wood floors and doors. Each apartment got new Energy Star appliances and granite countertops.
Major changes to the complex include a new heat pump/HVAC system, new plumbing throughout, and a new electrical system. Also included is a finished basement, on-site laundry facilities, and an expanded parking lot with new concrete.
