Employees who work in the Omaha World-Herald Building in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, have a state-of-the-art fitness center to work out in 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Oracle Fitness Center is open on the buildings second floor.
MCL Construction completed the 6,500 square foot tenant improvement project within a three month time frame. The area was completely gutted and built back with amenities that include a group fitness area, cardio and weight room space, spacious locker rooms and showers, and laundry facilities.
MCL was able to add 500 square feet to the project using structural steel and concrete slab on deck on the south side of the building.
The focal point of the project is storefront glass panels that are backlit with LED lights. This allows the owner to change the color of the storefront based on seasons, holidays, or as they see fit.
