The Salvation Army Omaha Kroc Center set out to make its mark as the best Kroc Center in the nation. The South Omaha facility makes a strong case for being the best by completing a 19,000 square foot addition and 34,000 square foot renovation in December of 2017.
MCL Construction served as the Construction Manager at Risk and General Contractor for the $6.6 million project. We were selected to the team early in the design process to provide expert preconstruction services and value analysis before breaking ground. Communication, safety, and logistics were critical to the success of this project as the center remained open during construction.
The new addition features a fitness, aerobics, and weight lifting center. It also includes an indoor walking/running track.
The pool area was renovated with the addition of water features and a tower slide. Party rooms were added, and classroom and resource space renovated, to enhance the user experience. Guests walk into a new lobby area that features bright colors, a fireplace, and large windows that look into the fitness center.
