Talent Acquisition Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY
Full-time position for MCL Construction, a 35-year construction management/general contracting firm working primarily in commercial construction with its headquarters in Omaha, NE, and an office in Kearney, NE.

Named one of the Top Contractors in the Midwest in 2021 by Engineering News and Reports (ENR),  MCL Construction is growing and the Talent Acquisition Manager will be dedicated to finding top talent, passionate about the recruiting process, and thorough in all aspects of the position. This role will design and implement recruiting efforts to attract and retain a diverse pool of innovators and leaders, including students, to MCL. The incumbent will develop partnerships within the community and region to build relationships, grow our presence, and increase the sourcing pipeline.
  
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Refine and facilitate all phases of the recruitment process
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify needs, develop and modify job descriptions, and determine appropriate sourcing strategies
  • Screen candidates, schedule interviews, participate in the interview process, and assist hiring managers in selection efforts
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified individuals for future consideration
  • Manage candidate relationships to enhance candidate experience
  • Develop strategy and manage relationships with colleges, universities, and technical schools for exposure, sourcing, and collaboration. Interact with students, instructors, and administrators to advance careers in construction, and with MCL
  • Manage the college/university Intern recruiting process
  • Develop strategy and manage relationships with various industry and governmental organizations for exposure, sourcing, and collaboration  

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Demonstrates ability to build trusted relationships across a corporate organization at all levels
  • Ability to coordinate or manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and work well in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in online recruiting resources (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed)
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Employer Branding experience (job fairs, company events, and social media activities)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Educational background of top candidates will include a four-year degree and could be from a variety of fields including:  Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, and other related fields  
  • Five or more years’ experience in full-cycle (all phases) recruiting will be expected of top candidates. An acceptable combination of education and experience will be considered  
  • Experience-set to include: process and procedure development; sourcing candidates from a variety of sources; internet searches; screening; interviewing; career fairs; relationship building with candidates, universities/schools, and industry organizations; offer and negotiation process 
  • Professional certifications are a plus (e.g., PHR, SHRM, recruiter certification)
  • Experience recruiting in the construction industry is a major plus
