MCL Construction amplified the University of Nebraska Omaha's research capabilities by constructing the nation's first Biomechanics Research Facility.
The facility provides high tech research in the study of human movement. It features a balance laboratory, virtual reality laboratory, motor development laboratory, robotics laboratory, acoustics laboratory, and a main motor laboratory. The building also features a large conference room with high tech audio visual capabilities, office space, and collaborative work spaces for graduate students.
The project included an elevated tie-in to the existing Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPER) building on campus. Built on the side of a hill, a detailed site logistics and safety plan was created to ensure safety and efficient subcontractor activity on the project site.
