Safety is the name of the game! The effects of wrong equipment use or negligence around a job site can cost you your life. MCL Construction participates in National Construction Safety Week each year to make sure our employees leave work in the same condition they arrived. Unique to our week is the annual MCL Safety Games.
Each year, we close the week filled with different trainings and safety demonstrations with some friendly competition and life-saving knowledge. MCL Safety Manager John Dahir, with the help of the MCL Human Resources and our Wellness Director, organize the event for MCL craft people.
This year was all about taking your time and catching hazards on or inside equipment - something we teach our team to do each day on the job. Competitors were tasked with recognizing job site hazards, examining fall protection, fire suppression, tool inspections, silica dust exercises, and testing their knowledge on hazards with Family Feud-style trivia.
Our staff competed on four different teams. This year, Team Green came in first place. The team included the following MCL Employees.
Jon Kluza, MCL Carpenter 3, received a perfect score on hazard recognition and was named this year’s Safety Games Champion. His prizes were a carbon fiber hardhat and a WWE championship-style belt.
We want to thank everyone who made Safety Games possible and all our employees who competed. Your work is valuable and your safety is always our top priority.

Although an impending deadline may have you heading to the dermatologist for a high-end cleanser, you may find a supermarket cleanser works just as well. Squirt a bit of the cleanser onto your hands and rub your face with it for around a minute. Using small, circular movements to get it around will ensure the cleanser is spread evenly. Rinse your face with warm water after the cleanser's been distributed.

Chemical exfoliators contain alpha and beta hydroxy acids, and are generally preferred by dermatologists due to the fact that they're designed to affect the skin on a deeper level than a loofah. Rubbing your face gently in a small, circular motion for a few minutes should be enough to let the exfoliator do its work. Although they are referred to as chemically-based, chemical exfoliators are most often made with natural ingredients like sugar.
