Brant Yantzer will join the MCL Construction team as the Director of Integration in January 2023. As part of our strategic plan for growth, this new position will provide oversite to various MCL initiatives designed to advance our ability to deliver world-class projects to our partners. Utilizing team alignment, information sharing, and collaboration, Brant will facilitate best practices in addressing construction challenges to create an integrated building experience.
“Brant will provide synchronization with a chief of staff mentality," said MCL Managing Principal, Tony Fucinaro. "We need this mindset as we know plans can fall apart when there is not clarity around what is trying to be done."
Brant joins MCL with an extensive toolbox of experience.
As the former Chief Operations Officer of an Omaha-based consulting engineering firm, Brant understands how the construction and design businesses operate. More importantly, he understands the requirements of clients within the industry.
Brant’s desire to provide a more comprehensive design for the built environment led to the development of a technology design group that addressed the special systems required for daily business operations, as well as the safety and security concerns of the occupants.
“I recognized that everyone expected the lights to turn on and the heating and cooling to work properly,” said Yantzer. “When it came time to occupy the building, stakeholders were concerned as to whether the technology systems would be fully operational. It was apparent there was an opportunity to provide a more complete solution to address those concerns within the existing project design efforts.”
Brant’s ability to recognize opportunity, listen, and deliver are values that MCL approaches every project with.
“Communication is key to MCL, and we want to give all of our employees an opportunity to put their talents to use and make MCL a better place to be,” said Fucinaro.
Brant will use this experience to be a steward of our employees’ voices and challenge everyone to bring new ideas to the table based on their individual experiences with owners, daily operations on job sites, and the organization.
“I encourage people to question things and act on it,” said Yantzer. “A major part of my role is to assist with avoiding the speed bumps that I have encountered based on my experience. This will help everyone achieve a more effective, efficient, and informed approach to providing greater value to our clients."
Brant’s leadership style looks at addressing future challenges, not problems of the day. He offers experienced guidance and encourages a collaborative approach to find creative solutions under his mentorship. He is a team player and an innovative thinker who will undoubtedly bring employee and company growth to MCL.
“As I look forward to a new chapter of life, a lot of close friends and trusted advisors in the community ask me what I am going to do,” said Yantzer. “I told them that I am going to find good people, who do good things, and that is where I want to engage my talents and experience to do what I love.”
We are thrilled that place is MCL Construction.
