MCL Construction, an Omaha Nebraska based Construction Manager and General Contractor meets a demanding six-week schedule to relocate the Creighton University Osteoporosis Research Center to its new offices at CHI Immanuel Hospital.
The project included 2,614 square feet of laboratory space and 3,359 square feet of exam rooms and office space.
The spaces were located in separate medical office buildings on the Immanuel campus making coordination of construction activities demanding and communication with hospital staff and subcontractors crucial to meet schedule and quality demands.
Construction included demolition of the existing space. Electrical and mechanical upgrades. Relocation and installation of lab equipment. New paint, tile, and carpet.
The Osteoporosis Research Center at Creighton University is the result of a 40-year effort that created an international center of excellence in bone research. It serves people at risk for or suffering from osteoporosis and strives to discover and disseminate knowledge related to the prevention and cure of osteoporosis.
