MCL Construction is expanding!
We are opening an office and operations in central Nebraska, serving the Kearney, Grand Island, Hastings, and surrounding communities.
Thirty-four years ago, MCL Construction was a company made up of a handful of employees with the simple goal of providing excellent service and quality to our clients. The goal remains the same.
“Expanding is our opportunity to form relationships in central Nebraska,” Managing Principal Tony Fucinaro said. “It gives the ability to provide the same level of customer service and attention to our partners that we do here in a growing part of our state.”
Deciding to expand to central Nebraska was based on the growth of the area making it the next logical step for MCL. We are a Nebraska company and as central Nebraska continues to grow and thrive, this is an opportunity to introduce MCL and show communities the type of building experience we provide. Before deciding to open a new office, it was a priority to staff that office with an experienced individual who is connected to central Nebraska. That person is Rob Rasmussen. Rob will serve as the Project Executive for all of central Nebraska.
As an eight-year resident of St. Paul, Rasmussen knows central Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Kearney with a degree in Construction Management and moved to Omaha to work with different construction companies. He moved to St. Paul permanently when he accepted a job - a move that allowed him to be close to his family in central Nebraska. Now, he has the opportunity to grow a place that gave him his roots in the industry and bring them the culture of MCL.
“I understand the values that people have in central Nebraska and I understand what makes people tick. Relationships matter, but dollars matter, too, and people want to make sure they are getting good value for what they are spending,” said Rasmussen. “We have to show that we can give you the services that provide value to your project and MCL’s culture is all about adding value.”
Rob joins MCL Construction with 28 years of experience in the construction industry. He has held the roles of laborer, project engineer, estimator, project manager, and project executive.
“I’ve worn about every hat in the industry,” said Rasmussen. “I have experience in the field, estimating, and managing. In any construction project you take on, you will run into issues. It is my job to rely on all of my experience and confidently overcome challenges to provide value.”
As MCL Project Executive, Rob will be a connection to MCL’s corporate office in La Vista. He will be the point of contact between project owners and the MCL project team and be a business development partner for central Nebraska.
