This past weekend we watched two months of preparation with the city of Omaha, Creighton University, Davis Erection, and Coreslab Structures executed flawlessly.
It may have caused some anxiety with drivers on Cuming Street as the busy flow of traffic was reduced to one lane in both directions. The minor inconvenience allowed a Davis Erection Crane to occupy two eastbound lanes so it could erect 23 precast panels, some weighing as much as 30,000 pounds!
Watch the video below to find out more about why we took this approach. Oh, and the good news, it should be easy driving for the College World Series!
It is interesting to know that the crane services can be helping in erecting 23 precast panels that are around 30,000 pounds in total. I guess cranes can also be used on roads and not just for tall buildings. They seem to be a huge help in carrying and moving heavy loads such as materials used in certain projects.
